What made you pursue OT, and where do you see yourself going: After being involved in a major car accident, I was off work for two years and underwent rehabilitation during this time. Throughout my recovery, I worked with a few occupational therapists that helped me out tremendously during the rehabilitation process. This experience coupled with my work with my rehabilitation team inspired me to become an OT so that I can also make a positive impact in other’s lives.

What you enjoy most about the program: The friendships you develop with your peers! You form amazing relationships in this program.

Fun piece of information about yourself: I can make best friends with dogs wherever I go.

One piece of advice to first year students: Purposefully carve out time for yourself each day. The program can get busy at times, and it’s important to make time for self care.
