What made you pursue OT, and where do you see yourself going: I have always been passionate when it comes to the topic of disability and rehabilitation which lead me to occupational therapy. As of now I am not too sure what my future holds… however as a future OT it will allow me to combine physical activity, creative activities, and assistive technologies to allow individuals to participate in new and/or old occupations.

What do you enjoy about the program: I love how hands-on it is and that the field of occupational therapy is continuously growing!

Fun piece of information about yourself: I have had the pleasure of volunteering on three separate continents.

One piece of advice to first year students: Don’t forget to be true to yourself throughout your studies and whenever it all seems like too much… do something that you love! Whether it’s: taking a yoga class, playing with your dog, finding your new favourite coffee shop, or volunteering for a favourite charity. Do something that makes you smile and remember to breathe ☺
