What made you pursue OT, and where do you see yourself going: I was interested in OT because I wanted to do something that would allow me to help people live their best life while providing me with challenges and opportunities to grow. I also liked the diverse areas of practice that an OT can work in. I see myself enjoying a variety of opportunities in different positions throughout my career as I would like to gain a diverse set of skills and experiences.

What you enjoy most about the program: This program really reinforces holistic, person-centered practice, which strongly aligns with how I think health care should be handled.

Fun piece of information about yourself: I spent a year of my undergraduate degree doing research with fruit flies. Needless to say I liked working with people better.

One piece of advice to first year students: There aren’t nearly as many assignments in the program as I thought there would be; however, take the time to get started on assignments early! Deadlines will catch up to you before you know it.
