What made you pursue OT, and where do you see yourself going: I always had an inclination to pursue some sort of career in health care, however I wasn’t sure which. In my third year I began working with the Centre for Autism where I became an interventionist and there I worked along side OTs to deliver services to children affected by ASD. This is where I started learning about the role of OTs and thereafter I began researching and discovered the holistic nature and the wide breadth of OT. I see myself working in either paediatrics or mental health (a combo of those would be ideal), but you never know and I am open to whatever opportunity comes my way.

What you enjoy most about the program:  The people! I love how supportive, open minded and understanding my cohort is. I am so appreciative of the teaching staff, who constantly remind us to reach out if we are in needed of any kind of support.

Fun piece of information about yourself: I am Sri Lankan, so I get to visit this beautiful island every 2 years! I am also (and will always be) obsessed with Avatar The Last Airbender and I love all things music!

One piece of advice to first year students: You got through the hardest part and now your here so make the most of it!
