What made you pursue OT, and where do you see yourself going:  I was working at a supportive living house for children with disabilities and knew I wanted to pursue something in relations to that. I did a lot of research and really liked the idea of helping kids being able to be independent and participate in things that they want to. I am hoping once I am done to continue working with children in a new role and helping caregivers provide the best support for children.

What you enjoy most about the program: Learning about the various different opportunities out there for OT and hearing the working experiences from our profs!

Fun piece of information about yourself: I am a loving aunty of a goofy 4 year old nephew and almost 1 year old twin nieces.

One piece of advice to first year students: Don’t let your classmates stress you out. You know what works for you and just go for it. Everyone’s personalities are different and listening to others stress can only make things worse for you. Be confident in what you are doing.
